IFA Freedom Mela 2018 Car Raffle - TERMS & CONDITIONS
1. Indian Friends of Atlanta(IFA) is a registered nonprofit organization with tax exempt status. Tax ID #:47-4194683. IFA has received a license from Fulton County, Georgia to conduct a raffle at Verizon Amphitheatre. Proceeds from the sale of all raffle tickets shall be used to finance the IFA projects and its activities.
2. All Prizes will be drawn on August 18, 2018. The event will be held at Verizon Amphitheatre (2200 Encore Parkway, Alpharetta, GA 30009) commencing at 1530 hrs. All tickets sold/unsold will be audited by a local certified accounting firm from metropolitan Atlanta before the raffle drawing takes place.
3. The purchase price of a single raffle ticket is $100.00 and includes the life membership to IFA for a family of 4. Only one name is permitted on each raffle ticket. Upon purchase of a raffle ticket, each purchaser shall provide his/her full name, address, phone number, e-mail address and date of birth. Purchases may be made by credit card, checks or money orders. Checks or money orders should be made payable to “IFA”. If paying by Credit Card, a surcharge of 3% will be added to the cost of the raffle ticket. If IFA’s bank dishonors a purchaser’s check, money order or credit card charge, the purchaser’s raffle ticket will be declared void. RAFFLE TICKET PURCHASES ARE NOT TAX DEDUCTIBLE.
4. All marketing effort disputes will be addressed by Executive committee of IFA and all marketing enquiries will be directed to Fund raising committee of IFA.
5. All raffle ticket purchases are final and may not be returned for a refund subject to clause #7 below.
6. A maximum of only 600 tickets will be sold. In the event that all available raffle tickets are sold earlier than expected, IFA reserves the right to conduct the raffle at a new Date, Time and Location. Each purchaser should be present at the venue to receive the prize.
7. IFA RESERVES THE RIGHT TO CANCEL THE RAFFLE DRAWING IF LESS THAN 300 RAFFLE TICKETS ARE SOLD BY AUGUST 17, 2018. IN THAT CASE, EACH PURCHASER SHALL BE INFORMED OF THE CANCELLATION OF THE RAFFLE DRAWING AND EACH PURCHASER SHALL BE REFUNDED THE PURCHASE PRICE OF THE RAFFLE TICKET INCLUDING SERVICE CHARGE.
8. PURCHASER BY PURCHASING THE RAFFLE TICKET ACKNOWLEDGES RECEIPT OF THESE TERMS AND CONDITIONS AND WAIVES ANY CAUSE OF ACTION HE/SHE MAY HAVE AGAINST IFA AND RELEASES IFA FROM ANY CLAIMS HE/SHE MAY HAVE FROM CANCELLATION OF THE RAFFLE DRAWING. EACH PURCHASER ACCEPTS A REFUND OF THE PURCHASE PRICE AS ADEQUATE CONSIDERATION FOR THIS WAIVER AND RELEASE.
9. Purchaser understands that a ticket represents a chance to win the opportunity to accept an offer of the stated prize on these terms and conditions. If you hold a ticket or a receipt, your ticket has been entered in the raffle, subject to these terms and conditions. All winners will be notified by certified mail, e-mail or telephone.
10. Entrants must be 21 years of age or older and a United States resident.
11. Winners will be determined by a random drawing held on August 18, 2018 at a Verizon Amphitheatre.
12. Winners or representatives are required to be present at drawing in order to win prize. Drawing for prizes is open to all ticket holders.
13. Winners must produce the original IFA Raffle Ticket to claim their prize along with a valid federal or state government issued picture ID when claiming their prize.
14. IFA will RaffleRiver to conduct the raffle event. IFA’s executive committee reserves the right to make the final decision in any dispute regarding the raffle drawing prizes.
15. No cash substitute will be made in the raffle prizes.
16. All Prize Winners must accept prizes AS IS WHERE IS with absolutely no express or implied warranties of any kind are given by IFA.
17. The object and purpose of this raffle is to invite motivate, involve, and accomplish the activities of IFA with the help of the public and communities at large. IFA is directly or indirectly not aiming to promote or sponsor gaming or gambling. The sole primary purpose of this raffle is to raise adequate funds ONLY for the IFA projects.
18. Winners will have 2 days from the date of any prize confirmation to the winners to accept and claim the prize in the manner set forth by that communication.
19. All prizes will be considered ordinary income for tax purposes as per the IRS. PLEASE CONSULT YOUR TAX PROFESSIONAL FOR THE TAX IMPLICATIONS OF WINNING A PRIZE.
20. The winners agree that all applicable taxes and fees, insurance, delivery fees are their full and complete responsibility.
21. Prize winners grant IFA permission to use their names and prizes for promotional purposes.
22. It is the responsibility of the purchaser to comply with any federal laws or regulations as well as any specific to the state in which the purchaser resides. In the event of a dispute of the rules of this IFA Raffle event, the laws of the State of Georgia will preside.
23. IFA assumes no responsibility for lost, late, misdirected or undelivered mail.
24. The value of the prize, less $100.00 cost of winning raffle ticket, is taxable ordinary income to the winner.
25. ALL prizes are not convertible to cash.
26. Vehicle taxes, tags, insurance, title and shipping are the sole responsibility of the winner.
27. The IRS requires that taxes on prizes valued at greater than $5,000 must be paid upon acceptance and before IFA may deliver the prize to the winner. Therefore, winners must pay applicable taxes to IFA before those prizes are released to the winners.
28. Raffle tickets will be available for purchase till 8:00 PM on August 18, 2018.
29. Any unsold, lost or missing tickets will be considered null and void prior to the raffle draw and will not be included in the raffle drawing.
30. In the event a winner elects to convey his winning prize as a donation to IFA, he/she may do so by signing an affidavit in the favor and for the benefit of IFA immediately after the raffle drawing.
31. IFA reserves the exclusive rights at any time to add, amend and delete any or all terms and conditions to comply with the enacted laws of the State of Georgia and United States related to raffles and similar draw tickets.
32. All raffle terms and conditions will be posted on the IFA website.
33. PRIZES WILL NOT TO BE RELEASED UNTIL ALL RELEVANT TAX PAPERS ARE COMPLETED BY WINNERS DURING THE EVENT.
